Well then.

So. I’ve gone and done it. I’ve created my own consulting business. An LLC even! I’m still in the process of pre-launch activities as I write this so I have yet to see what the reception or impact will be.

Why did I choose to do this?

Because this way I actually get to choose my path. My goal and desire has always only been to help people. Someone Else has always qualified that. “The ROI isn’t there” or “They should already know that” or “We’re going to look stupid.” It takes a lot of courage for someone to ask for help. I never want to discount or take that for granted.

Does that mean I’m giving away my time for free? No. I need to keep my cat in the standard of living to which he’s become accustomed.

This does mean that I’m trying to find ways for smaller businesses to get support in a way that doesn’t break their bank. I’m trying to scale the unscalable, affordably. I’m working on something incredibly cool for that. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know about that little nugget.

Does this mean I’m focusing on small restaurant brands?

No. With larger restaurant brands comes larger and more complex projects. Digging into those puzzles is invigorating. Also, I love streamlining corporate processes and creating cross-functional workflows. (Yeah, I know I’m a nerd.) That is unique to large brands.

So what the heck DOES this mean?

I’m hoping to work with a diverse group of people making as much positive impact as I can on the restaurant space. There are so many cool conversations and articles about the future of the restaurant industry. While all of that is truly exciting, I can imagine the frustration for restaurant teams who aren’t ready or don’t have the bandwidth to take those steps yet. I want people to be excited about the future of restaurants and what their place is in it.

I can’t wait to get started!
